solo

‘solo’ links the kinetic to the cosmic. The exhibited works are part of a research into theories of origins, and by extension the dialogue between spirituality and science, information and superstition, and natural and supernatural forces. The two main works, ‘Ω’ and ‘s’, contemplate of the infinity of the universe and the forces that govern it.

gamma

'γ' reflects on electromagnetic radiation by making the spectrum visible to the human eye, light, tangible. It does this by capturing and refracting a beam of light using a glass window. This creates optical phenomena, which can be represented by motifs. One such motif is woven into a tablecloth.

By drawing on light and optical motifs, the artwork challenges our powers of perception. The visibility of “gamma” depends on the position of the viewer, who thus becomes a kinetic parameter in its perception.

Ω

omega

‘Ω’ is a series of textile works exploring the concept of topology. They question the structure of the universe through geometric patterns, linked to theories of cosmic folds.

spin

‘s’ is a series of ceramic spinning tops, drawings on paper and wood reliefs, exploring kinetic potential and the vertigo phenomenon. They question the movement of elementary particles and celestial bodies through geometric shapes, coupled with theories on the balance between order and disorder.
